Crab balls are amazing!! The mimosa with sorbet were good too. The oyster rockefeller benedict was fantastic. Called the bay local!! Definitely will be back!

I could eat Banging Balls for days! [That's what SHE said!] Yes, seriously, I'm sure anyone would. Can't come here and NOT order this appetizer - "Banging Balls - Crab balls sprinkled with parmesan cheese, Old Bay, melted mozzarella cheese and bacon crumbles, served with spicy cajun aioli." I love Bay Local because: 1. It's beautiful inside!!! Can we say SHABBY CHIC heaven?! This place makes me want to go thrifting to buy a bunch of wooden furniture, slab it up with chalk paint, sand it down, and Voila! Ok I digress, but it really is pretty inside. The awesome ceiling, cool lights, decor, and all the pops of my favorite Tiffany Blue color, just superb. 2. The folks working here have been very helpful and nice. This place is always busy, and everyone who has ever helped us, has managed to be nice and efficient, & always giving great recommendations. 3. Most important thing, the FOOD. Delicious!! Just delicious! The first time I dined here, my boyfriend and I had the Banging Balls, described above, and these alone are worth returning for. I also had the "Jamaican Dark Rum French Toast - Sliced french bread soaked in cinnamon, brown sugar, dark rum then grilled golden brown and served with fresh fruit and choice of Applewood smoked bacon or smoky sausage link." I chose bacon of course. It was just a tad tough for my liking, just because I'm used to the traditional "soft" french toast of course. And I know it's tough because it's made with French Bread, the only way for it to not be tough is to soak it pretty much forever before cooking. Anyway, it was still delicious! The second time, I totally felt like I won the lottery (haha) when I ordered and received, and bit into my Fried Chicken Bennie - "Lightly breaded pan fried chicken, topped with Swiss cheese, lightly sautéed spinach and applewood smoked bacon." The applewood smoked bacon part was kind of deceiving, because they're actually just applewood smoked bacon BITS on top of the Bennies. But boy were they just scrumptious! The oozing egg, Hollandaise sauce, melted cheese, tender & juicy chicken mixed altogether in each bite, O M G. YASSSS. hahaha. And I can't forget the crazy flavorful, crispy on the outside, perf on the inside, Parmesan Tots! Tot(e)s amazing. Anyway, "I'm a fan" is totally an understatement. I'd come back here again & again - good thing it's far from me. This place is busy, so expect a wait on the weekends!! Grab yourself a couple of Sorbet Mimosas; Happy Brunching!

Finally able to get out and taste a little bit of freedom again. My son (my new boss) is very demanding so anywhere I go is a treat. Bay local eatery was a treat indeed--one I intend on coming back to! My Best Friend and I ventured in here and were quickly greeted and seated. The waitress we had although busy was very friendly and made several helpful suggestions with the menu. The Jamaican french toast sounded delicious--but maybe next time. This yelper (me) ordered the crab cake bennie. I was a little reserved about ordering it because people LOVE to go cheap when it comes to crabcakes. You know what I'm talking about, more filler than meat. Well this place got it right. More meat, very little filler. The crab cake bennie was delicious and definitely satisfying. As an appetizer which I forgot to mention earlier we ordered the Crazy Asian bay wings. They were ok, nothing to write home about. I needed a little relaxing and ordered the pomegranate mimosa--you can't go wrong with that. It did it's job :). Overall, this seems like a great spot to catch a nice bite to eat. Very casual and it has a great upbeat vibe to it. I'll be back so long as the boss man allows.

Glad this was nearby! My group of friends and I were trying to do brunch at Citrus on Saturday, which unfortunately had an hour long wait. A friend looked this place up and noticed it was on the same block as Citrus so we changed plans and dined here before heading to the beach. The place offers a variety of brunch options and the portions are huge considering how budget friendly the prices are! Avoid the mistake I made, don't get the fries, you must get the tater tots! I repeat, GET THE TOTS! I tried my friend's tater tots and they were seasoned so deliciously that I had such regrets for not getting them as a side instead. Want to make it a boozy brunch? Recommend ordering a sorbet mimosa to go with your meal. I ordered the Quattro Frommage omelette, nothing special, just a very cheesy omelette. Stomach was not feeling well that day so I ordered something light and simple. I could see that everything else my friends order was delicious, recommend trying out one of their benedicts if you're dining here! It's the best bang for your buck, for both quality and quantity.

Have you ever walked into a place and just immediately know you're going to love it? If you haven't, then come to Bay Local Eatery, and you'll know what I mean. My good friend and I came here Sunday morning before heading to the beach. I found Bay Local on yelp on a Monday. And I have literally been thinking about it and looking forward to going it every day till Sunday. I was lucky enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant. Like other reviewers have said, parking is pretty tight. There is overflow parking at the Mexican Restaurant across the street. We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by the hostess who seated us right away. It was 9 AM in the morning, and the place was already more than half full. I just have to say, the decor is beautiful. The colors are beautiful, giving this place a great relaxed, yet trendy ambiance. Other tables had smiles on their faces and delicious looking drinks/food on their table. Everything about this place just made me feel happy. Our waitress was good at what she did and nice. She didn't linger for too long and was super efficient, which was needed for such a busy morning. I got a strawberry sorbet mimosa to start off. I liked it, but I couldn't really taste any strawberry flavor. It was mostly just light sweetness and champagne. There was a scoop of sorbet that just kind of fizzled at the top of the glass. You could get it in a wine glass (a little bit bigger size) or a champagne glass (the smaller size.) You can also jumbo size it and those looked AWESOME. They came in a super large glass with multiple scoops of sorbet and long crazy straws. I ordered the chicken and waffles with over easy eggs and tots. Food took a little longer than normal to get out but it was well worth the wait. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and the outside was crispy with some great spices. The waffle.... I like to think of myself as a waffle connoisseur. It was cooked well, light and airy, but still had substance. It was a little plain, could have used some more vanilla, but I still enjoyed it a lot. At other restaurants, if you order chicken and waffles, it doesn't usually come with a side. But you got eggs as well as potatoes. That's a pretty good deal in my book. By 9:15 AM, this place was packed. The waiting area was full of people. One of the things that surprised my friend and I the most was how many younger people as well as families with small kids were there. If you can get that variety of people in a brunch place before 9:30, that's saying something. It seems more of like a local spot as well. I can't wait to come back to try more mimosas and that hangover breakfast!

Wow. This place was full packed. I was expecting it was going to be busy due to the weekend holiday. I wanted to try this place so we waited for the table. Upon entering the premises I've noticed the eclectic decor and hanging stuff. I kinda like it, I thought its creatively well done. Its looks great and added an impact to the restaurant. The entire place looks amazing. Its neat, clean, and well organized. For today's visit, I ordered the Big Al a biscuit stuffed in sausage and bacon topped with gravy served with a sides of two eggs and fries. Thought the entire meal was delicious. The biscuits alone were exquisite, it was seasoned well and perfectly cooked. I didn't like the gravy much, I thought it was bland and unappetizing. It was a fantastic visit. I will definitely come back maybe not on the weekend. I didn't like the super crowded scenario and the freaking loud music. Apart from that, I truly enjoyed the whole experience.

Incredible food, most creative menu I've seen in a while! The bloody Mary's are just perfection!! Soft crab shell with hollandaise sauce was so incredibly good, the two of us split one dish and thank goodness we did that, food is hefty and plenty...wish I can eat here every morning!

Possibly the most delicious fried chicken I've ever had, with rosemary in the breading. I had the chicken and waffles, and while it was a little loud, the food was so good that I did not care. The beach ambiance was surprisingly unkitschy (while I'm usually not a fan, it was great) and the service was good--especially for a Sunday brunch. I will be back.

Solid 4 stars. Young crowd, very busy on Sunday morning. Best Benny in va beach of the three I tried (roosters and citrus being the other two) Bangin balls were ok. Not great. A bit heavy on the cheese. Good hangover food I guess. Love the tater tots. I'll take them over home fries any day. Chicken and waffles was just ok according to my son. Chicken a bit dry and under seasoned. 15 bucks not nearly the value of the crab Benny

1st time here. I love how the place is very shabby chic! It's hard to impress me with food, but this place is to die for! :) Fried Chicken Bennie! Um... 》》D.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s.! ! Fried chicken eggs benedict with parmesan tater tots.

With a half dozen visits at Bay Local I'm over due to weigh in. I honestly held off because I was somewhat mixed on where to put them. The rating is based on all my experiences. However, my last one was probably the strongest which is a great sign that there is continual improvement since that early visit when they first opened. Although I have had a few hiccups along the way on service the food has been consistently great. This is what kept me coming back. I had the hope they would work it out and indeed it seems they have. I also had issue with air quality as it relates to the smell of smoke. The Reef which is an adjacent bar the burned down at the time BL was undergoing construction. The area was exposed and I can still smell smoke, like from a wood burning stove. It has not bothered me, but realize it's presence. The location of Bay Local is excellent on the corner of Shore and Great Neck across the street from Shorebreak pizza. However, the parking situation is anything but great. They have made it work with additional parking across Shore at Guadalajara's. The problem I have is shore is a dangerous street to cross, there is no control or cross walk so be careful. Do NOT park at Shorebreak, you may be towed. There agreement is strictly with Citrus for overflow. How can anyone that walks in Bay Local not think the place is totally unique and funky. I fell in love with the decor on day one. The bottle sculpture at the entrance may catch your attention as you enter, but it wont be the last thing that makes you think who was there interior designer. Truth be told it's the owner and family that took charge of this undertaking. Using antiques and recycled items from a family farm in Franklin, VA they have created what I believe is a work of art. It's about as eclectic as you can get in an awesome way. The ornate ceiling panels really make the place pop. along with all of the other cool nautical/country type themed items. Concrete floors run throughout, which is again perfect for my taste and provides a modern type of vibe. The dining room consistent of table and chairs with booths. There is a small bar to the rear to crab a Mimosa or there is no stopping you from ordering at the table too! Service has consistently improved since that early initial visit a few weeks after opening. I can honestly say that the wait staff has worked hard to make the necessary adjustments to bring their customers a quality dining service. My last visit was flawless from the time the hostess seated my party, to the waitress who was right at the table prepared to take drink orders. The service continued to be superb throughout. The quality of the dishes and the unique menu have impressed me. Although some items from the menu I have liked more than others, they have all been pretty solid. A favorite is the Crab Benne, I've had it twice. It is spectacular in every way and on my last visit was prepared to perfection. Lots of crab in this meal will have you not leaving hungry. The side of tatter tots are amazing, crispy and seasoned spot on. I have yet to have lunch and thought about waiting for one more visit and make it a lunch item. However, I did not want to wait any longer. I would love to take in a Sunday brunch too. From the crowds I see when driving my that is a big hit. The restrooms are spacious, clean and have proper supplies. One thing that many eateries drop the ball is lavatory decor . Not the case here and as a matter of fact you will want to visit the Men's room I guarantee it...hint, hint I have included a pic why. The theme of the restaurant flows into the restrooms and that tells me that they have really thought this out. Congratulations Bay Local, you have shined in the shadow of the big boy around the corner and have found your own niche menu which is spectacular. I look forward to making you a regular joint for my favorite meal of the day.

Im pretty sure i just had a mouth orgasm! Where to start, the food came out looking sexy as hell, then i bit into it and it was just as satisfing as it looked or better, i got the chicken bennie, with the crumbled bits of bacon to the runny yoke. This was the best bennie in the 757 so far. This place is old mets new interior and pretty loud everyone is drinking, which makes for a relaxed environment. I had the jumbo mango sorbet mimosa which was affordable. New favorite place!

I got a chance to try out this spot after hearing about it from friends. Tucked neatly in a small shopping center across the street from Shorebreak, Bay Local is an eclectic spot which boasts some fantastic food. I came in on a Monday and was greeted warmly by one of the servers. Given a choice to sit anywhere I picked a spot near the window because it seemee dimly lit. Not a bad thing, but I guess since they're open for only breakfast and lunch they want to use more natural lighting. Kyle was my server during my visit and he was pleasant and cordial. He informed me of their half-off appetizers which I took advantage of by ordering the loaded hand-cut bay fries. That app is basically cheese fries which they top with mozzarella, parm and bacon, while they season the fries with Old Bay. The spicy aioli is very good and you can't go wrong with sour cream. But I barely touched it, not because it wasn't good but because I wanted to finish the entree I ordered (I had the app boxed up). The dish I got was The Hangover and it was plenty of food. It consists of an 8-oz. New York strip, eggs (served any style - I got them scrambled), a side of fries or parm tots (I got the tots), a pancake and toast (or you can get a biscuit, methinks). It was a lot but I tore through it because I was hungry. It was a fantastic meal and kept me full for most of the day. What made the entree a total winner is that it also came with an 8-oz. of Budweiser, which they served inside of a brown paper bag. Fairly creative and a great way to play up the dish's name. When I was ready to pay the place began filling up for lunch. I lucked out by beating the rush - thank goodness. Come to think of it, considering where Bay Local is located parking would be an issue. There are maybe 4 or 5 spots directly outside so those will fill up quickly. Shorebreak tows, so just getting here can be a chore. But with its colorful interior, the decent service, the tasty food and the notion that they use only local product makes Bay Local a winner. I look forward to future visits especially if they have half-off appetizers on Mondays. JV

Saturday brunch usually isn't as popular as Sunday brunch - that isn't the case at Bay Local. Knowing this is one of the brunch hot spots, we attempted to reserve a table for two to try and cut down on our wait time. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations and we were told there would be a 45 minute wait time. When we arrived, the hostess stated that our wait time was only going to be 25 minutes. Elated that our wait time was cut 20 minutes short, we patiently waited while looking over the menu on one of their few benches outside. 40 minutes later, we were finally seated. A little frustrated about the underestimated wait time, we ordered our mimosas and entrees. The fresh squeezed ruby red and cranberry mimosas were good, but nothing to rave about. I ordered the Light Tower omelet with Parmesan tater tots while my partner ordered the Fried Chicken Bennie. Both our items came out in a timely manner, except for my tater tots. Our waitress stated that the tots would be out right away, but I was definitely halfway done with my omelet before I could grab her attention about them. She quickly brought them to me afterwards and were definitely worth the wait. Definitely one of the best tater tots I've had in my day. My omelet was done very well and had fresh shrimp and crab, but was lacking flavor. The bennie on the other hand was out of this world! Tons of flavor and there's even some spinach on there to compensate that you just drank alcohol and ate fried chicken before noon. Seriously though, order the Fried Chicken Bennie and the tots and you're set for the rest of the day. As for the establishment, the staff was extremely friendly and the décor screams Pinterest (in a good way!). Although there were a few irks in the beginning, Bay Local definitely hits the spot for your bourgie brunch days!

Breakfast food is my all-time fave, so I was all up for trying a new place. Bay Local is now definitely up there on my list! I went with a friend on a Tuesday around 10 am and it wasn't that busy. The atmosphere is so cute and rustic. I liked the feel of the place. The place is a decent size, but I've heard it can get full fast! The staff was also very pleasant. We ordered banging balls for our appetizer, and they were flavorful and delicious. I kinda think we should get a couple more balls for the price. For my entree, I ordered the Bay Local Benny with Parmesan tots. This is definitely one of my favorite bennies ever! I loved the fried oysters. The greens and bacon were also delicious. The Parmesan tots were very good and crunchy. I definitely want to try other things on their menu, so o foresee another visit in the future.

This is where all the action is!! Great vibe. Eclectic beach decor at its finest with vintage fishing pictures and mismatched mirrors strung throughout. Friendly service. What more could you ask for on a Sunday morning? Oh yeah, good food!! Everything is made local or in house. My husband had shrimp and grits and said it was amazing. I had the Best Burger ever - topped with a crab cake. It was perfection in a bun. The best thing was the biscuit on the side. I can't get over its perfection. It was browned on the outside and even tasted like it had a gritty, crispy outer layer, almost like sugar, but it did not too sweet. I needed to know why this biscuit was exceptionally delicious - they bake the biscuits halfway, then when ordered, they quickly throw them in the deep fryer to achieve this fresh crispness. Definitely the one thing I would jump out of bed for on a cold, wet morning. Yum!!!! I could not leave a review without mentioning the excellent service by Taylor at the bar - she is one hardworking girl but with a smile on her facel!! We will be back as soon as possible!

When you are seeking a renewal of the palate there is no better place to do it than Bay Local Eatery. It appears a little out of the way en route to Virginia Beach however its well worth the detour. I absolutely recommend the Bangin Balls and Mango Sorbet Mimosa. This what a world weary traveler needs as a reminder that there are still so many beautiful experiences to be had in this life. This spot only gets docked a star due to the location. Two thumbs up!

All I have to say is YUM!!! Cheese, bacon, and sausage stuffed biscuit with the most amazing gravy... delectable yumminess! There is nothing at all wrong with this dish! Oh... tater tots... what? Felt like a little kid, but loved them so much! Portions are huge and well worth the price! Service was amazing! I love the rustic and eclectic decor, feels like you are a grandma's house. I will definitely be back!

So good!! They have excellent food and so many gluten free options!! I love this restaurant. The only thing I did not like was their green veggie drink- disgusting. But food wise, and everything else- amazing!!! Would definitely recommend :) They do get packed sometimes and you may have to park across the street. The wait staff is great though! Even with a table of 10 obnoxious college students next to your table- I recommend this place!

I can't believe we took so long to try this place. We got the banging crab balls, and banging they were! We went on Father's Day and I got a free Budweiser in an oh so classy paper bag. We split the burger with the crab cake on top; holy flavor town! The fries were fantastic too, crisp and flavorful. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! My only complaint was the noise level... I could barely hear what my son or wife were saying. However, I'll gladly deal with the noise if they keep serving up food like we had today! Try this place!!!

Nice atmosphere and unique food. Make sure you get there early -- the place fills up fast especially on the weekend and parking can be a headache! Luckily, if you go early enough (7am-9am), you won't have to worry about this at all. We were seated immediately, but the place was super packed with people waiting when we were about to leave. There isn't much of a waiting area from what I remember...so be prepared to wait outside or in their small entrance. I must admit...their menu was full of a number of things that had me hesitant on ordering since I can be super picky on certain foods. Picky eaters beware - this place is full of unique recipes and breakfast offerings not usually seen at other breakfast joints. I ended up ordering the fried chicken benny with parmesan tots. Let me say, the tots are to die for! The main entree itself was good and had tons of flavor. I also decided to order a strawberry mimosa since they were the reason I heard about the place. I was a tad bit disappointed - lacking in flavor and not at all what I was expecting. The person I was with enjoyed their chicken and waffles, and also a side of fried oysters. Overall, the food is great! I'm biased towards other breakfast joints in the area, but I'm definitely looking forward to trying other items on the menu during my next visit.

Went back to Bay Local for lunch on Tuesday, January 6th...and while the food & drink were as good as I remembered, the service was not. My server was a young guy (glasses), and while very sweet, just not attentive enough. We had to flag him down for new drinks and to ask for the check. I substituted a side salad with my sandwich, and when the meal arrived (delivered by a boy in a "real tree" CAMO shirt ?!?), I had to ask him for a wedge of lemon for said salad. He returned quickly, with a tiny slice intended for water or tea - IN HIS BARE HAND - and then, he put it on my salad. I repeat...put the lemon on my salad. I just stared at my friend in horror, took a big gulp of my mimosa and decided I was too hungry to make a stink about it at the moment. Please Bay Local...retrain your staff. Make sure they can handle their tables/sections and good lord...tell your food runner to use ramekins or at least a cocktail napkin to deliver condiments or lemons. Also, why was he in CAMO?!? The manager really should have made him put on a company t-shirt. I hope my next visit is better.

Great atmosphere, food and service! Me and my wife have been here enough times that we know all of the staff and every time just as enjoyable as the last. Make sure you get there early or plan for a 15-20 minute wait, it is worth it! I have tried a little of everything on the menu and the only thing I would say is average is there burgers. They use some quality meat, however, they have no seasoning. Aside from there burgers I'd recommend almost everything on the menu! If you do get something that has fries as a side order the parmesan tots instead they are killer!

Had the most fantastic brunch at Bay Local Eatery! The Bay Local Benedict with oysters and bacon is to die for and my Bloody Mary was spicy and on point! Seating is a little cozy as tables are placed near one another but other than that I loved the atmosphere. The decor is very fun, unique and shabby chic. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the Virginia Beach area!

My new favorite spot to have brunch on Shore Drive. Besides a full bar and a chalkboard full of specials, you can find the most amazing breakfast food here. Think fried cheese biscuits under crab and hollandaise. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Jamaican french toast is fantastic. Service is quick and friendly, and our servers always seem to be knowledgeable about the food - they managed to answer all the obscure questions my dining partner asked. They do a great job of keeping your coffee mug and your water glass full. Most breakfast/brunch plates come with fresh fruit, which is a nice change. I walk to the place, but parking is beginning to be a problem. Be prepared to park a couple of blocks away during busy times. There is a dedicated lot, but it's super small and has to be shared with some retail businesses in the strip. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, which is kind of a bummer. I'd like to see them do dinner at some point. The decor was great, seats are comfortable, but be prepared for a crowd - it's rapidly becoming extremely popular.

Absolutely delicious. Very creative spins on some breakfast staples and delicious, refreshing drinks. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new spot for brunch, but get there early or be prepared to wait, although the the wait is always worth it.

Service was friendly and attentive for starters and our waitress Sarah took excellent care of us. We rode bikes from the campground so the fact that she kept our club sodas coming was a lifesaver. Appetizer: we got the loaded fries which where out of this world! Being vegetarian we requested no bacon and the obliged us spot on. Main entree: We both got the garden veggie grilled cheese and it was amazing! We chose the rye and was surprised at the size and the beautiful marble. We requested avocado added which topped it off just right. If you make it here count on getting just what you wanted.

One of the best local spots on Shore for great food and drinks surround by an amazing decor and attentive staff. Banging Balls...amazing, Mac n Cheese...amazing, Bloody Mary's with all the toppings...makes any wait time totally worth it!

I recommend this place wholeheartedly. I ordered the bay local fried oyster eggs Benedict. Not only was it fantastic, but so was the Parmesan potatoes! I had ordered it to go and sat at the bar while I waited. They gave me some OJ to sip on and gave me friendly smiles. I tried to eat it on the road as I needed to get to an appointment, but I had to pull over because it was so good and I wanted to savor it!

I go to Bay at least twice a week. I love them. Really. Everyone I've ever been served by in Bay Local have been fast and friendly. They have the biggest mimosas you've ever seen (really, it's 3 bottles of champagne to one mimosa... grab a friend or two to help out). Great food (the shrimp rolls are awesome), giant drinks and super eclectic atmosphere. Yes.

Super yum! We were about to move from the area and squeezed in this newbie into our tight schedule. I was super excited to try it and it did not disappoint. The kids (all three of them) split the adult platter of pancakes. I forgot to ask for chocolate chips in them but they were delicious without. You could even taste a hint of vanilla...awesome. They were amazing and ginormous. I recently had brunch at a nat'l chain (not IHOP) and my kids ordered a pancake that was smaller than one of Bay Local's, not terribly good, and it was the SAME PRICE. They came with two links of sausage and when I put in an additional order initially, our server let me know that there's already two links that come with it. Ok, I thought, that's nice, but my kids are part Filipino and they love their meat. I was also thinking they were these tiny Jimmy Dean breakfast link type things...but no, they were these meaty links with natural casings (the Daughter bit into hers and told me "Mom, it's the real deal...hear that snap??"). Huge sausages that added even more value to an awesome breakfast. My mom got the Bay Local Bennie, which was super good. I ordered the Light Tower omelette. It was good but not terrific. I felt like the seasoning was lacking a bit here. However, lemme tell you about that fried biscuit tho!!!! DAYUMMMM! Omigosh...that was awesome. Although I'm not a tator tot kind of gal...the garlic parmesan tots there made me swoon. Sooooooo good. My friend seemed to enjoy her french toast meal as much as she could with a newborn. I know she wanted to take her husband back there too. Service could've been a bit more attentive. We managed to get in on a Friday AM with a party of 7 and no problems. After my lackluster experience at the much-hyped Citrus...I'd definitely go around the corner and eat at Bay Local any day...if only we were still stationed down there.

I stumbled upon Bay Local by accident, looking on Yelp for a new brunch place to try. My husband and I went the third weekend it had opened and I was secretly hoping there wouldn't be much of a crowd since I wasn't sure many people would know about it. I was wrong. We got there on a Saturday at 10:30am and were welcomed with a 2 hour wait. I was dead set on trying the food, so I didn't mind. Plus, I was pregnant and hungry; I noticed the large portions coming out of the kitchen and I knew I was in for a satisfying meal. The long wait gave me a chance to analyze the decor. Very interesting an eclectic, the walls were adorned with random mirrors, pictures, and signs. The entrance windows were covered by a very cool "mosaic" of glass bottles. In the waiting area, they had a cute table made from an old Cola refrigerator topped with glass/plexiglass. People made their way to and from the bar while they waited for tables. The drinks looked delicious! The tables were wooden and there was an assortment of differently colored antique chairs. Very rustic! Once we were seated, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who promptly brought us drinks. We ordered the banging balls for an appetizer. They were fabulous! They were basically mini crab cakes covered in cheese, which in my opinion was not necessary, and drizzled with a mayo-based sauce that was delicious! Definitely packed with flavor. I ordered the pancakes with banana and coconut. It comes with three pancakes and a meat of your choice- sausage or bacon. What I received was way more than I expected. The pancakes were huge- hanging over the plate. I could only eat one, despite the fact that I was pregnant. It was delicious though. The sausage was tasty, as well. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. He did not like the white gravy served with it, but he said waffle was cooked nicely. Being from the South, he claims to be a fried chicken connoisseur. He said it was slightly over-fried which the batter falling off of it. The inside was only slightly dry, mostly moist and tender. It came with eggs, hash browns, and bacon, all of which he said were cooked and seasoned well. I would go back, but I definitely will make sure I am hungry.

Food was amazing! Had crab dip app and the pita bread it was served with was really good. Husband had chicken and waffles, waffle was crispy and hot and the chicken was fried perfectly. I had eggs beni with oysters and it was so good, probably one of the best unique versions on eggs benidect. The wait was long, went on a Sunday morning and it took over an hour for just 2 of us to get a table. So just go prepared to wait a bit.

Bay Local is amazing! The food is phenomenal, lots to choose from (I get something different everytime) from amazing breakfast to very filling lunch plates you won't be leaving hungry. The waitstaff is super nice, always very welcoming and attentive and the atmosphere and decor is wonderful! Highly recommend!

SPECTACULAR! If you find yourself near the shore and want fresh delicious non tourist trap fare in a chic little joint surrounded by stylish decor..... Look no further. Bring a sweater, it was mad chilly in there! Killer price on fresh mimosas! Friendly wait staff, a touch slow but it was a slammed Sunday Brunch hour. I had the shrimp and grits and if we are ever fine that way again, they are well worth a repeat order! Fried biscuit with honey on the side.... Yes please! Touché Bay Local... Touché

Wow! What a great breakfast that was simply delicious. Kyle the server was the best. He was attentive, funny and gave great suggestions. Tyler the bartender was a true mixologist. The drinks were fantastic.

Best brunch ever! We went on a busy Easter Sunday and were sat in 10 mins, got our food in another 10 mins. Delicious mimosa combinations and drink options. Got the crab cake eggs benedict and it was amazing! Loved the artwork, atmosphere and friendly service. Thinking about going for bunch again tomorrow! :)

Just finished our breakfast and couldn't wait to review the place! Best breakfast in Virginia beach! I had the lighthouse omlett that was perfectly prepared with not a hint of brown in the eggs (I hate brown eggs) there was plenty of crab and a good amount of decent sized shrimp with some of the best holland aide sauce I have ever had. The stuffed biscuit was good too and I don't even like biscuits! Had a fresh squeezed ruby red mimosa... Or two... And our waitress Sara was without flaw as well. Even though the place was about 80% full we got our food incredibly quickly and never had to ask for anything that she hadn't already thought of... Loved it and we will be back!

Went to Bay Local for the first time with a party of 6 prepared to wait. We were told 45 min, after going to the bar area & waiting for just over 1 hour we asked where we were on the list. There was an oversight (we were crossed off the list) they had misread "Long" thinking it said "Lori" to which nobody replied. After a round of complimentary drinks for all 6 of us (& lots of apologies) we were seated at the next available table. The food was amazing, a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. We will definitely be going back!

Let me begin by saying I totally want this restaurant to succeed. If you're reading this and you are invested in the restaurant please except my criticism in the spirit in which it was intended. I just had my third mediocre meal at bay local. 1. Runny, over mayo chicken salad 2. Not a crab cake that will pass bar in a chesapake bay town. No lump blue and waaay over spiced. 3. Hamburger with bland flavor and texture profiles. All easy to fix. The noise level is definitely not average, staple some foam under the tables and put felt on the feet of the chairs.

Burger was average , extremely expensive for what you got .... Burger was under seasoned and service was slow ....atmosphere was cool Overall though too pricey ....

I recently went to Bay Local with some friends from work for lunch. We ordered the loaded tater tots as an appetizer as well as the sampler with tuna and chicken salad, hummus, and some fruits and veggies. The tots were just loaded tots, they were very good just nothing special. We were hoping for a unique taste or something special based on the rest of the menu but they were just loaded tater tots. The sampler was great. The chicken salad was the best I've ever had and the hummus was equally delicious. The selection of fruits and veggies were good and the pita points were awesome as well. The tuna salad was just ok. For our entrees I ordered the smoked salmon BLT which was good. The salmon had a pretty fishy taste which led me to believe it might not have been the freshest salmon, but it was still good. The others ordered the avocado chicken pita sand which which looked great and according to him was delicious. We got a few drinks as well including the Hell Mary which was awesome with there house made mix. It was good and spicy. We also tried some of the crushes. They were good but they weren't better than anywhere else that makes them. The service was great and we were overall impressed. My only complaint was the tater tots. I was just hoping for something unique. Definitely recommend the chicken salad and the Hell Mary.

Wow- my first time here and Adrian and Whitney knocked it out of the park.Fresh, locally sourced food. The decor is eclectic and inspired. We opened with decadent loaded tots and a Bay Local Bloody. A great start. Then my son had the Big Als, my wife the Chicken and Waffles and I had the Oysters Rock Benedict. Everyone one of them was incredible, fresh and so well seasoned. While the stated wait for us (coming late on the busiest day of the year) was over an hour, we got a seat at the bar in less than five minutes and enjoyed our brunch there. LInda at the bar was fabulous. I can't say enough..except that I'll be back!! Well done, Bay Local.

Appetizer: banging balls. delicious!! Only complaint is that there should be four. $10 for three balls is a little ridiculous Entrees: I got the chicken & waffles. soooo yummy! I'm from Louisiana and love authentic chick and waffles and these definitely were. It should come with 2 syrups, and I'm sure I could have asked for more, but had my 6 month old with me and she was a ticking time bomb :) Husband got the big al. the gravy and the biscuit were so delicious, but there was wayyyy too much going on with the sausage and bacon. could probably have cut the amount of sausage and bacon in half and it would have been better. Service: A+++++ We had Wes (I think) and he was a sweet kid and attentive. We will definitely be going back to try that Hawaiian chicken sandwich special!

I visited Bay Local for the first time yesterday. I'm officially obsessed. The owner is clearly creative and apparently makes most of the decorations. The decor and atmosphere are reason enough to go. Then I had the parmesan garlic tots. Holy mother, I would cut off a limb for these. I ordered the avocado BLT and my friend ordered the shrimp and grits. Everything was on point, especially their mac n cheese. We also ordered the sorbet mimosas and we were lucky enough to visit on a Thursday as they have buy one domestic beer, get one for a penny. The whole visit was awesome. The staff are friendly. The place is simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back!

Really enjoyed "The Hippy" and the different mimosas. I only gave the place one star off because it can get pretty loud when it is full.

    (4)
  • Timothy W.

The place has good food, but the restaurant is very very loud. The other issue is if you are unfortunate to get the steering close to the waiting are you feel like your eating in the waiting area with everyone asses in your face.. Not a good design. I figure if I was sitting somewhere else the experience would have been better, but still loud.

O.K. now that I have been there 5 times, I have decided to add more to my review. First of all, they are still a solid 5 star in my opinion. The service is always good, the restaurant and bathrooms are always clean, and the food is always fantastic! Some of my favorites on the menu are: The Big Al, The Lesner (on the early bird menu), the French Toast, the Parmesan Tater Tots, the Pancakes, the Waffles, and the deep fried biscuits with honey. I have loved everything we have tried there so far. My oldest loves it so much she bought a t-shirt! It is just minutes away from the local schools on N Great Neck, so it a great place to grab breakfast with your kids on their way to school. I did it with my daughter today as a special surprise and we stuffed ourselves for only $5.99 off the Early Bird menu and we got to school just in time! They offer a military discount, which is greatly appreciated. I would still recommend that they add the extra charges (for chocolate chips, cheese, etc) on their menu or have the staff explain this when taking orders. Overall, this is a great 5 star breakfast restaurant that will be here to stay! Will be returning frequently!

If you want to visit Key West for a couple hours, go to Bay Local. The detail of the bar, the dining room, even the bathroom will make you feel as though you're in the Keys. BUT, there's more, the food is excellent too. They have an innovative breakfast with lots of seafood and the "dark rum French toast" is a breakfast I have to have next time. This time I couldn't resist the seafood omelet (picture included). The also had an omelet that had fried oysters. Tough to decide my first meal, but I'll be back. The service was good and the price was reasonable. We had 2 meals and coffee for $31 (not including tip). The only problem was the first impression when I walked in, a burned tar smell. I don't know if it's the "new car" smell of the build out or what, but it took some getting use to.

So this was our first time at Bay Local. We were really impressed with the eclectic atmosphere. I wasn't expecting that in a tiny strip mall. When we walked in there was only one large party at a table and a few people sitting at the bar. It concerned us a little but we chose a seat near the window. Some of the seats are dimly lit- more appropriate for dinner than breakfast. Throughout our meal the place filled up- maybe we just came during the lull between early birds and the late birds. After looking at the menu it seems that it's more of a lunch place. Breakfast options are limited to omelettes, Benedicts, and a handful of quirky meals such as chicken and waffles along with the obligatory eggs, bacon and pancake/waffle dish. For the early bird special (7-8:30) you can get a pancake/waffle, 2 eggs, bacon or sausage and bread (white, wheat, sourdough, English muffin or biscuit) for only $5.99. Unfortunately we were there at 9:30 so it cost $3 extra ($8.99). The rest of the food items looked tasty but the prices seem a bit high. Besides the pancake/egg/bacon meal, everything was $10.99 or more. Lot of the meals were $13.99 or so. A bit high for breakfast in my opinion, particularly with Citrus just around the corner charging more around $8-9. Our meals were filling and tasty, particularly the garlic Parmesan tater tots and the waffle. The waffle had a nice sweetness to it and was very light. My over medium eggs came out closer to medium hard, and the oversight was quickly (very quickly) righted. Overall a really nice spot for breakfast. Service was very friendly and quick. We'll come back for lunch sometime

My new top place to hit for brunch with friends when on Shore Dr. This place popped up in Virginia Beach and was immediately a hit with myself and my group of friends. Sometimes there is a wait but it is never unnecessary, and it is always worth it. I always end up getting the Bangin' Balls as an appetizer, but usually also throw on a second appetizer since the portions on the apps are a little smaller than expected. I have never been disappointed with the taste however, and they serve things that are different than your normal brunch spot on Shore Dr. The smaller appetizer size is more than made up for by the massive brunch portions. I have branched out but I cannot step away from the Hangover. Steak and Eggs, done with some pancakes on the side. I can definitely eat a lot, and this fills me up and although it's brunch the steak is carefully prepared, and the pancakes are the fluffy and sweet kind I love. It comes with a can of Budweiser in a brown bag but usually I forgo for a bloody mary. If you're feeling up to it go for the Jamaican French toast, but I feel like that's a dish best shared since it is so dense and sweet. You can't really go wrong here with great food, a cozy and fun atmosphere, and a great staff.

This place is awesome. It's super cute inside! I've been twice and loved everything both times. Food is moderately priced. I would def go here over other local brunch places. They're sorbet mimosas are Soooooo good! Love it and will definitely be back again and again!

First time visit today. Loved it!!! The owner greeted us as we walked in. Our waiter was great. The food is awesome! Love the whole concept. It is a real winner. This one is going to make it!! Crab Balls were excellent. Killer Mimosa with fresh squeezed juice. Fresh cut fries, nice salmon BLT, Can't wait to go back for a Adult milkshake.

Yum! Yum! Yum! Salivate, drool, repeat. I have been to this awesome diner fused with tastebud Godliness and can't wait to go back. The food is really impressive. The chicken and waffles are worth the guilt. The "Hangover" are worth the night before shenanigans, By far the BEST BREAKFAST place in VB. Go. Enjoy. And definitely worth social media photo bragging!. ;)

Over-seasoned. The food was 3 stars, but everything else is 5 so I picked right in the middle. Pricey, but large plates and great flavor combinations. I like how they have several varieties of the same thing , ie club sandwiches. Decor and atmosphere, service and crushes were great! Parking is terrible, but what can you do. Glad to have these guys on Shore Drive. A friend warned methough- too much seasoning in the food. They said they had to wash bay wings off before they could eat them and their burger was super salty. I agree on the over seasoning. Way too much thyme in the French onion soup. Way too much mayo in the chicken salad, way too much of everything in the gravy (big Al). Tone it down a little so we can taste the main ingredients please.

Best brunch spot In the area!! I go every Sunday, and can't get enough. Mango sorbet mimosas are so good. I start off with those while we wait for our table. My boyfriend loves the bloody Mary's. For our entree he always gets the chicken and waffles, which is the best tasting chicken and waffles we both have ever had. You must try the parmesan tots!! They have great service and the place is so cute. This is seriously my favorite place to go to.

  • Dee W.

The 3 stars are for the OUTSTANDING FOOD!! Really delicious. We had the fav Big Al & French Toast. Kids chicken strips were a lil spicy for them, but we loved them! Now, the SERVER is were they FAILED! He wasn't very knowledgable about the food, could barely answer questions unless it was something he like! Never came to check on us once the food was delivered by another staff member. Never refilled our drinks and worst part, I had to disturb the very busy front desk staff 2x in order to get help!!

I really wanted to love this place. The location is great. I really liked the unique, eclectic decor. The miss- match chairs and local photos and art were wonderful. Service was quick and friendly. The downfall was the food. I didn't like my food. I love home fries almost as much as the entree and their home fries were not good. They were huge chunks of potato that were not crunchy in the least. The pieces of potato needed to be smaller and cooked more. My entree was the crab cake bene. The crabcake was a little spicy which wasn't bad but my poached egg was completely over cooked. It was like a boiled egg sitting on top. None of that lovely runny yolk. So disappointing. When we were waiting for our food, I was totally loving the place. I was planning my next get-together in my head. I'm genuinely sad that I didn't like my food. I was hoping for an alternative to Citrus which gets so crowded.

If I could marry a restaurant this would be it. I really enjoyed every facet of my visit. The service was good, the food was prompt and wonderful. My server was helpful and very attentive. Acoustic versions Dave Matthews band, Jack Johnson and, John Mayer pumped through the airwaves to sooth my ears while waited for my beverage to arrive. The Light Tower omelette was flavorful and evenly filled with crab and shrimp. The decor was very on par with Shore Drive, down to the shabby sheik accent pieces.

The one negative thing I have to say about this place is the parking. Get here early that's all I can say! Or hope someone is pulling out of a spot just as you come in because parking is tough with only 10 spots or so. You can park across Shore Rd however because if you use the parking lot for Shorebreak Pizza, it will be towed - per signage. Okay, on to the Pluses! Great food, wonderful service and cool atmosphere! The brunch portions are Huge and so good! We were a party of 6 and we had The Hangover, Fried Chicken and Waffles, The Big Al and Mimossas. All delish - The wait was going to be about an hour they said but I think it was really 40 minutes and very worth the wait. Our bill (before tip) was $125 - that's for 5 adults and one child (who ordered from the adult menu lol). I say not too shabby! We noticed a lot of locals eat here because they all seem to know everyone including the servers/hosts and bartenders. So we knew the food was going to be great! We will come back again this year!

Get the tots. You won't regret it. The fried chicken bennie is also amazing. I've tried most of the menu and have yet to find anything that isn't delicious. The service is always very friendly. Be aware that this place does get very busy. If you come before 9:30, there usually isn't much of a wait. It's much less crowded during the week if you can go then.

Was planning on going to Citrus, but the wait was for over an hour! Stopped in to this new place and was seated in less than 10 minutes. Decor was very shabby chic... Loved it! The food was delishhhhh! Had the Banging ball (really good), Bay Benedict and shrimp and grits. Prices were fair and service was awesome! What more could you ask for?!?!?

I come to the area often from Notheren VA, family and friends in the area. I was searching for a good breakfast place, and up popped Bay Local - so I gave them a try. Not disappointed at all, especially considering I ate there two days in a row. Service was good, on time with items, but not in your face every 5 minutes. I had the Crab Cake Benedict, just the right amount of seasoning, the hollindaise was light and fluffy, as it should be, best yet the egs were perfectly poached. The next day I had Shrimp and Grits - okay, my hubby is southern and in my humble opionion makes the best grits...so to beat his...well shall we say I am picky. The grits were great - not overally cooked, not drowning in salt, butter or being masked by cheese, the shrimp was plentiful, and the sausage was the perfect balance. The mimosa was nicely done, and the coffee was pretty good. Here is the caveat on coffee, I am a coffee snob....come on now I roast my own coffee beans...so...I really do not knock many places on the coffee since it is hard to come up to my "standards". Yes, it gets a little noisy on a Sunday - sit in the back at the high tables, close to the bar, and you should not have problems carrying on a conversation with your tablemate. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, maybe one day they will add an early dinner feature. Nicely decorated, soft colors with just enough pop to be eye candy. Enjoy!!

Just had brunch, it was great. So much better than Citrus. I had the Oyster Rock omelette. It was amazing. Rockefeller filling with fried oysters on top. Sooo good and sooo filling. The omelette was cooked perfectly, not over cooked as so many can be when you go out. My husband had the Shrimp and Grits, he loved them. They looked great and had a lot of shrimp. Highly recommended.

It was good, I love breakfast but I wasn't totally blown away. I think I've been spoiled by Doc Taylors with the price of mimosas, so paying more the $2.50, I expect a big glass, which I didn't get. I got the Local Benedict, it was good but I felt something was missing. The Crab Balls were good but again for $10, I would expect more than 3 or 4. It's decorated nice but the food is ok.

Large portions. I ordered their club sandwich which was sooo big I brought 3/4 of it home. It was delicious -wonderful bread, ham, 2 different kinds of cheese, leaf lettuce instead of the usual iceberg, tomato, and turkey. The side I chose was French fries-seasoned with Old Bay. Yum. Server was very knowledgeable and accommodating .

Bay Local makes me long for the beach life I've sorely missed since moving North! This adorable spot gives all of the things I love--fresh, delicious, local, ingredients without all the pretension I've come to expect in DC. The decor was eclectic and beachy--I coveted the tin ceiling tiles. Our party of 4 plus baby arrived at 10 am, and we were immediately seated. We ordered the Banging Balls to start, since they were so highly praised on Yelp--and were not disappointed. Sweet Moses these were incredible. Splitting these 3 tasty morsels amongst 4 hungry adults was no easy task, but we managed not to stab each other with our forks. It took us awhile to choose our entrees since EVERYTHING looked amazing, and our waitress was extremely patient. I had a seasonal mimosa while I decided--delicious! I'll have to come back for the extensive selection of Crushes. I finally went with the shrimp and grits, with a side of a--wait for it--FRIED BISCUIT. Who knew a biscuit could be any more delicious than it already is (yes, the shrimp and grits were also delicious). One of our friends got the Big Al, which she devoured. I'd say that was a win! My husband got one of the Benedict specials, and can we talk about how delicious the Parmesan tots were? Whose genius idea was this? I could continue raving, but suffice it to say I'll be back the next time I visit my parents.

Recommended by a friend and have to say was impressed. Great decor and awesome food. Large variety of Crushes but had to pass as we were having breakfast before church. Husband likes to have lunch for breakfast so Bay was perfect w great selection of sandwiches and Benedicts for me. Awesome service and delicious coffee. Definitely a new local gem.

Amazing little gem....had brunch two days in a row it was so delicious. The atmosphere is hip beachy and the wait was manageable on a busy weekend morning. Service was a little slow, as a new restaurant (and an instant local hit), it's to be expected. Food is delicious. Banging Balls, French Toast, all the bennies, the Big Al - all were amazing. The Hail Mary was the best Bloody Mary I've ever tasted....and I've tasted quite a few. Recommend ordering that and a sorbet mimosa. Sip the bloody while the sorbet melts...

Some coworkers had dined in for lunch and said how good the food was so we decided to order take-out for a Saturday. Basically all crabcake sandwiches with fries. The crabcakes had big chunks of lump crabmeat and were absolutely delicious. The brioche bun was nice as well, and the tartar sauce was awesome and clearly house made. Fries were good too. Only disappointment was the garlic parmesan tater tots... they just seemed to be like plain frozen tater tots. Otherwise, the crabcake sandwich is awesome!

Stopped by for a late lunch and was happy to see that the reviews were spot on. Bloody Mary choices were awesome, right amount of spice and seafood flavors married with the right amount of vodka. I ordered the special macaroni with sausage and shrimp - killer. The rest of the gang had the sliders cooked as ordered, Caesar Salad, Reuben with bean sprouts and the avocado BLT. Everyone wants to go back. The wait staff should give a clinic to local eateries because they get it and do it well.

In town for a tennis tournament and the Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Hotel recommended this place. We called ahead to see if it was kid-friendly. They don't take reservations, they have a kids menu and the person who answered the phone suggested we arrive before 10 AM since it was Sunday. Well, we got there about 9:45 AM and it was jam packed. 30 minute wait, but totally worth it. Our party of 6 enjoyed the attentive waitstaff, awesome food and drinks and filling meal sizes. It did take our food a bit of time to arrive but it was packed beyond measure with people and the food was incredibly worth the wait. Also my Mimosa was delish. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and it was incredible flavor!

I went to Bay Local on Saturday. We arrived with a party of 5. The hostess quoted us 30 minutes and we got sat in 20! Yay. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a little watered down in my opinion, I got the out of the bottle the 2nd time and was pleased. The waitress with friendly and fast, not sure of her name though. Our food came out in 15 minutes and for a busy Saturday we were satisfied. I got the dish with parmesan pita, eggs, turkey bacon, and spinach sauteed in garlic and olive oil. Mine was good since it was a low calorie item. It seemed like I had a little too much spinach and veggies for the pita and eggs ratio, but more is better than less. :) I really was eyeing my boyfriend's biscuits and gravy.. it looked delicious. The tater tots were sauteed in garlic and spices and were very yummy. My brother-in-law got the chicken and waffles and LOVED it. His bloody mary was very spicy and delicious. Loved the atmosphere. I will be back. :)

Wonderful place with the best staff. Chicken and waffles, bennies, their many styles of crushes. Every dish we have had has been fabulous. Must stop in for breakfast and lunch. Everyone else thinks it is great so there might be a lil bit of wait. But it's well worth it

Went here again with my family. Once again I was very happy! The food was awesome. I had the Shrimp and Grits. Probably the best Ive had in the area. Very tastey and the portion was more than enough. My wife had a salad. She loved it. The presentation of the salad was very nice and well done. . Kids had the usual eggs and toast. No complaints there. The place was crowded as exppected, there was a litttle wait. The waiter was attentive, no complaints. I read one comment how one favors Doc Taylors!!?? Please, I go to Doc Taylors, the food at Bay Local blows away that place. Yeah the $2 mimosas and bloody marys are nice. Havent been to Citrus to compare. Looking at the pictures Im not impressed. What impresses me about Bay Local is the menu and the variety of food and how creative it is. There not too much and not too little. And the food they bring that Ive had is superb, from the presentation to the taste!! Kudos to the owners!

Nice decor however over priced. Parking is very tight when the spot the reef was in reopens they are gonna have a tough time. My breakfast was good however the price was ridiculous. My server was kind and deligent however not very knowledgeable in what they served.

Fantastic breakfast, great bloody Mary and sweet tea and everyone's plates looked delicious. I would go back anytime.

Loved it. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Food came relatively quickly. Only problem was that we were waiting over 1.5 hours for a table. I still gave them 4 stars though because we had a large group (8 people).

I was so very excited to try this new spot however my service from the start almost had me walking out. The menu just said soda so when I asked what type of soda my server had a blank look on her face and replied very rudely. So not a good start...since I've been wanting to try I stayed. I had the avocado BLT @ about $11 I don't recall if it said on description bit it had mustard on it. Now I'm a fan of mustard but didn't expect and didn't like! Avocado was tasteless looked amazing but tasteless. I'll go back maybe with a group of young adults as it seemed their drinks where filled and where having a good experience

This place is a breath of fresh air! I've been twice and both times the food has been so good, I dance when I eat it. First time I got the Big Al. Dear God. Delicious. You get a choice between parmesan tots or potatoes. Go with the pram tots, you won't be sorry. Second time I got the Fried Chicken Bennie. I would get the Big Al over the chicken Bennie but it was still very good. I also got the sorbet mimosa. Very sweet but oh so delicious! There is normally a wait but when I went the second time there was a lady coming around asking if people wanted bar drinks. Our waiter and waitress was great both times. Overall, service is great and food is amazing! Parking is a pain in the butt though. Don't even try to park out front. There is overflow parking right across the street at the Mexican place. My advice, stop reading and get your ass to Bay Local. Support Local Businesses!

Started things off with the Banging Balls which were amazing. I had the Eggs Benedict with Parmasian Tots, lots of flavor and the eggs were perfectly done. The big man couldn't finish the "Big Al." A giant plate of eggs, potatoes and biscuit with gravy.

What happened? Service sucked, food was eh, and wait was long. I really like this place when we first came but today everything was off. Our server was inattentive and was only nice when she dropped off the check. We sat there after we paid and not once did she get us a refill. Not cool bc I was thirsty. The food didn't taste as clean and fresh like it did before. It was just very flat and average. What happened? Yes I sound dumbfounded bc I really want to like this place.
